SPIRAL ECHO is a Filipino American alternative band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2003 by Benjie Collantes, Nestor Loresca, Noel Gomez and Vhon D Great. The band have a diverse, densely layered vocals, and guitar-heavy sound, containing elements of gothic rock, heavy metal, dream pop, psychedelic rock, post/punk rock, shoegazer-style production.
In 2004, the band has experienced some line up changes, with frontman, vocalist Benjie Collantes and guitarist Nestor Loresca being the only constant members. After several local shows, studio recordings and limited 12" vinyl pressings, Spiral Echo disbanded at the end of that year. Only 100 copies were cut, each of which was hand numbered and given to friends of the band along with band members themselves. The 12" clear vinyl was released under PMI Records, Ltd. label created by B. Collantes.
The Resurrection: December 2009 with the help of a long time friend/producer Tim Batac (Red Elf Events) bassist Deo Mendoza (former Fallout, Aside From...), and drummer Eric Cuarez (My Private Hell) were recruited to join the new line up.
Spiral Echo is releasing a DIY 6 track EP called "Blurred Between Your Soul" by the end of January, to be available on-line (myspace and facebook) and at their shows starting february 2010.
