Hellloooo....fliptup. This site is nice. It would be cool to have most if not all bands sign up in here so that it will make my life a lot easier. This would be better than Myspace. I wish that many bands would sign up, post their music, videos and their gig schedules. Imagine, all those information in one site. No more flipping sites, no more checking out the friend of the friend of the friend. Oooh, more importantly, less chance of being infected by a virus from bad sites. Oh how I wish more bands would sign up. C'mon bands. Momma Rose is waiting to see new, old, one of a kind, same as the other band, funky, hardy, softy, folky, trippy and all other type of bands; or solo acts.
Hi Fliptup! This is great! Our north american Filipino music scene is really growing! I'm D, drummer of a band called BAGWIS based in Chicago. I'm also one of the co-creators of the CHICAGO PINOY MUSIC SCENE (CPMS) at www.chicagopinoymusic.ning.com. We've just done a series of fundraisers with a ton of great pinoy artists here and have raised enough funds to produce the first ever two disc Chicago Pinoy Music Scene Anthology.
We are a new scene, only seven months ago it was a scattered thing, but we got organized! 5 CPMS bands will be heading out to New York to participate in Soul Record's Rock in the Box 2 Festival on Labor Day Weekend!
We are also preparing to organize the first North-American Filipino Music Conference by next year. We would love to have you all participate!

yes, i agree. it would be easier to have bands just sign up themselves rather than wait to be invited to join. I think more bands would be open to that idea because then they can customize their information, songs, etc. rather than waiting to have the site's team up that info up for them.

It wouldn't be easy to make the bands just sign-up. There should be something for them to entice them to sign-up.
